Description:

Whether you’re brand new to wheel throwing or have a little experience, this course is for you. With small class sizes (3 students) held at my home-studio, you'll get all the one-on-one time needed for a beginner!
 

Over the course of 4 classes, You'll learn foundational skills and build confidence through forming and finishing a few simple pieces, fired and ready to take home or give away as gifts for the holidays!

Week 1:  Wedging: clay prep / Intro to throwing: centering, opening, and pulling

Week 2:  Throwing basic forms: bowls, cups, and small pots

Week 3:  Shaping: trimming, carving, and handle making

Week 4:  Finishing: decorating and glazing your final pieces

What’s included:

• 4 classes / 2 hours each

• 8 pounds of clay to practice with and make pieces

• All the tools and glazes you need

• No firing fees for up to 5 pieces!

Important Notes:

• No class the week of Thanksgiving
  (Mon 23 through Sun 29)
• Students must be 18 or older

• Cancellations must be made at least 1 week before the course begins to be eligible for a full refund, minus a $6 processing fee.
